๐ŸŒ Accessible travel to London

All main transport hubs for entry to the UK and to London, including airports and train stations, are well equipped with accessibility features.

๐Ÿ’ก Top tip

If you are a passenger with a disability, please inform your airline, train operator or travel agent and let them know about the kind of assistance you need. You can do this either when booking your journey or closer to your travels, but make sure it's at least 48 hours before you start your trip.

Here are some useful links for details on accessibility of key transport hubs:

โš ๏ธ There are no direct train services to or from Luton Airport on the weekend of the final

Please note, there are no direct train services between central London and Luton Airport on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June due to planned engineering works.

Taxi and coach services are recommended for supporters travelling to or from Luton Airport on these dates.

Coaches run 24 hours a day from Luton Airport with frequent services to Victoria coach station or London Paddington station, via other London stops including Baker Street and Finchley Road.

During the day, four services run per hour with a journey time to central London of 65 - 95 minutes. More information about coach services between central London and Luton Airport can be found here.

National Express and Arriva coach services are accessible. For the best level of service, itโ€™s advised to book assisted travel in advance.

๐Ÿšˆ Getting around London

Throughout the city, you will find inclusive designs such as ramps and smooth surfaces to ensure that visitors can more easily access the capital's transport network, top sights and accommodation.

Turn up and go

Transport for London offers a turn up and go service to help passengers who require additional assistance, such as people with visual impairments, mobility impairments and large groups travelling together. This could include providing boarding ramps, helping you to move through the station or interchange between trains and suggesting alternative or step-free routes.

The turn up and go service is provided on the London Underground and London Overground and most stations on the Elizabeth Line. You do not need to pre-book this service; just ask staff for assistance at the station.

Visit London has information on accessible accommodation and attractions in the city.

Over 60 London Underground stations have step-free access, although it is recommended to check Transport for London's guide before you travel as not all stations are fully accessible.

Wheelchair and mobility scooter users travel free of charge on all Transport for London buses, and registered assistance dogs are also welcome on board.

๐Ÿš• By taxi

All licensed London black cabs are wheelchair-accessible with many offering wheelchair ramps, an intermediate step and swivel seats, plus induction loops and an intercom system. London taxis are required by law to accept assistance dogs at no extra charge.
